The STEM Schools in Egypt were established under the Egypt STEM School Project (ESSP) led by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), World Learning, and the Ministry of Education
There are 21 STEM schools across the country, they offer a unique system that focuses on scientific, mathematical, and technological fields (STEM Fields).
Gharbiya STEM High School (or STEM Gharbiya for short) is a coed boarding 3-year high school located in Gharbiya, Egypt. It was founded in 2014 and is a two-semester-based school that runs from October to July

The School's rigorous program focuses on STEM fields with the first introduction to project-based learning through semester-long Capstone Projects, which prepares students for a realistic approach to the marketplace.
The goal of the school is to create a network of independent students who qualify for the highly established curriculum, and work in teams to produce scientific projects that contribute in solving Egypt's grand challenges to serve Egypt's Vision 2030.
The School’s staff members and teachers are trained to assist students in their academic journey, and encourage open discussions of the curriculum inside the classroom, with modern teaching techniques and activities to raise the core values and skills in the students’ minds, making them able to think independently.

The school also provides a Library, Music Room, Art Workspace, and a Gymnasium, all students can access any of the facilities during the school day.

Our students are required to live on the school campus, which is just a few-minutes walk from the school's teaching facilities, during the academic year, they can return home on weekends and national holidays, the dorm contains a wide range of places to encourage students to communicate, including studying halls, a cafeteria, and more.
